On arrival you will be issued with you tank suit and helmet, introduced to your instructor and it's off to the tank track! After being given a briefing on the history and some health and safety on the FV432 tank that you will be using, it's time to sit back and enjoy the passenger ride by your instructor. He will drive you around the track set out on a World War II bombing range. Then you must take your battle positions ready for some target shooting. You will receive tuition on how to use the 40mm air cannon fitted to the turret of the tank and take it in turns to aim and load while shooting at the targets in the field. The big question is who's the best shot?
Now its dads turn to drive! Once you are confident with all the controls for vehicle, you will drive 2 laps of the track. The first is done with the drivers hatch open so you can see where you are going. Then it's into battle position, hatch closed and driving looking through a periscope. Good luck!

Tank Driving Experience at Armourgeddon
Get kitted out in your tank suit, slide on your helmet and it's off to the tank track where you will be introduced to your charriot. After a briefing and a run down on the health and safety stuff, you sit on your backrest/seat half out the top of the turret and get to soak in the atmosphere as the instructor drives you around the track. Now it's your turn......Once you are familiar with the contols, it's slowly down on the accelerator and away you go. The first lap is done with the drivers hatch open so that you can become accustomed to the track and the controls. Then it's out of your comfort zone for the second lap as you lower your seat down and the hatch gets closed above you. Driving in battle conditions looking through your periscope is not so easy. Third and final lap is of your choice, will it be hatch open or closed? One thing's for sure, you will have a new found respect for the guy's and girl's in the Army!

Military Vehicle Driving at Armourgeddon
Take you pick out of 5 restored ex-army vehicles, each one with a different driving sensation.
-Ever wanted to drive a truck? Now is your chance with the 4 X 4 Bedford MJ! The back bone of the British Army will guarantee to have you smiling as you take it around the course. King of the road!
-Do you think your big gas guzzeling four wheel drive car can go anywhere? Wrong! The BV 206 Hagglund can go anywhere. Used by HM's elite special forces, take it around the track and adapt to strange central pivot steering.
-It's off to the Eastern battle front now with the Russian BRDM2! This beast was used to detect chemical weapons (you never know what you might find on the track!) If you get on ok on the first lap, maybe you should try driving looking through the periscopes!
-Squeeze yourself into the drivers seat of the Ferret Armoured Scout Car. This one has the strangest driving position you will ever see. Lay back and take it for a spin, easy rider!
-Last but not least, 17.5 tonnes of hardened steel and no steering wheel! The tank is the final choice. Thunder around the track in a turreted, Rolls Royce powered FV432.
